Unsplash
It’s got a massive library of over 200,000 stunning, do-whatever-you-want photos across a wide variety of subjects from landscapes to desks, and hundreds more are added each day. Use the search bar to find exactly what you need, or browse the curated collections to uncover images you didn’t even know you needed.

Burst
Powered by ecommerce platform Shopify, this brilliant image resource tool displays the top photos of the week, as well as the popular collections (coffee, fitness, woman, fashion, etc) when you enter the site. There’s also a nifty “business ideas” page that shows you what’s trending online, with downloadable starter kits should you wish to add more products or start a new business.

Jay Mantri
Right this way for incredible city and landscape photography. There’s no search bar on the site, but you can click on “All Photos” on the bottom left of the home page for an overview of the image archive in thumbnails.

Gratisography
Photographer Ryan McGuire has a knack for high-contrast, whimsical and humorous photos, and they are all free to download from his site. New images are added weekly. If you’ll like to show some love, donate to the talented guy via the “Buy Me a Coffee” tab.

Stock Snap
If you want cool pix across a variety of topics, go to StockSnap.io. It’s super easy to navigate, and you can sort search results by date, trending, views, and number of downloads. Sign up for an account to save images you like, so they don’t take up memory space. But if you want to search for free stock photos on multiple sites, use StockSnap.com. Simply type the keyword into the search bar, and click on the site you want images from.

Haute Chocolate
In the world of free stock images, chic, girly styled stock photos are surprisingly hard to come by. If you’re coming up empty on big sites like Unsplash and Pixabay, try specialty subscription sites like Haute Chocolate. Most offer a membership or subscription service, but you can get free photopacks plus images delivered to your inbox every month when you sign up for their newsletters. A membership at Haute Chocolate costs $99 every three months or $299 per year, and you’ll be entitled to unlimited downloads of gorgeously styled high-res images, exclusive graphics and mockups. Can’t seem to find what you’re looking for? You can browse Pexel’s huge archive of photos by categories with the “Discover” tab, popularity (“Popular Photos” and “Popular Searches”), or trending photographer (“Leaderboard). Even better, Pexels is also one of the few on the web have a video section – click on the ellipsis icon on the top right, select “Free Videos” to access stock footages.

Pixabay
Here’s another that offers free stock photos and videos, as well as illustrations and vector graphics. Pixabay has an enormous library of over one million creative content across the site, so there’s a good chance you’ll find something you need.

Distill
It’s still in beta phase, but Distill is a great resource for high-quality, royalty-free stock footages. 10 HD videos are uploaded to the site every 10 days, and categories include nature, city, food, people, architecture, animals, technology, objects and abstract. Video makers can also submit their clips upon registration.

Videezy
This community-driven boast a huge collection of free HD stock videos and b-roll footages, grouped under a comprehensive list of categories from After Effects and aerial to slow-mo and urban. You can also browse by newest submissions from the community, or do a search of the archive with keywords. Don’t forget to check the license for every video before downloading!
